Today marks the first in a series of public meetings to discuss the Island's drug control policies.
The 12.30 p.m. meeting will be held at the Anglican Cathedral Hall on Church Street, Hamilton and will feature experts from the Bermuda Police, H.M. Customs and representatives from The Department of National Drugs Control.
Discussions will focus on the recently released National Drug Control Policies, Master Plan and Action Plan.
This report was commissioned by the Department for National Drug Control (DNDC) under the Ministry of Culture and Social Rehabilitation.
Principles for drug prevention, demand and supply reduction, treatment and enforcement will be discussed and a free lunch will be provided.
A second meeting is already planned for March 20 from 12.30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the same location — the Anglican Cathedral Hall.
