the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two and VJ Day.

A church service will be held on Sunday at the Anglican Cathedral on Church Street, beginning at 11 a.m. The observance will be attended by members of the Bermuda War Veterans Association and local dignitaries, with the Bermuda Regiment Band playing.

The ceremony will feature Mr. Jack Lightbourn, who served with the Royal Navy, reading the first lesson and His Excellency the Governor Lord Waddington reading the second lesson.

Mr. Eugene Wade, who was a member of the Bermuda Contingent 1st Battalion Caribbean Regiment, will lay a wreath in honour of those who perished in the war. Royal Navy veteran and president of the Bermuda War Veterans Association Mr. Frank Farmer will read the roll of honour.

Following the service, the veterans will march past Lord Waddington who will take the salute on the steps of the Cathedral.

The route for the march will be Church Street, Parliament Street, Front Street past the Cenotaph and finishing in the grounds of the Cabinet Building.
