Morrison shows good form in Liverpool race

Battling strong headwinds in the last few miles of the race, local runner Mark Morrison completed the Liverpool International Half-Marathon on Sunday in ine hour, 22 minutes and 14 seconds to finish 51st overall in a field of almost 4,500 finishers.

The winner was Paul Sankey in one hour, 13 minutes and 24 seconds with the winning time much slower than last year, reflecting the difficult conditions.

Twenty five years-old Morrison, who is based in Bristol where he is studying, has this year embarked on a rigorous training.

He is being coached by the Bristol West Athletic Club where he is now a team member. He has competed in various races in the UK and plans to return to Bermuda to compete in the May 24th Derby Marathon.
