Hamilton East MP Renee Webb has added three directorships of local businesses to the Register of Interests for Members of Parliament.

Ms Webb, the Minister of Telecommunications, also declared, in a filing in October last year, that she held shares worth more than one percent of issued share capital in two of those companies - Hamilton Pharmacies and CT Famous Ltd - both in the pharmacy business.

Ms Webb's third addition to the register is a directorship of BDC 2000 - the holding company for BGA and the Phoenix store which was purchased by businessman Wendall Brown last year.

Other additions to the Register were made by Tourism Minister David Allen and United Bermuda Party (UBP) MP Allan Marshall.

Mr. Allen listed a four-day visit to the eco-tourism resort Daniel's Head in September and overseas trips to the Caribbean and Europe on official business.

For four days in February, the Minister was in St. Thomas, Barbados and Tobago to meet with Royal Olympic Cruises for a cruise ship meeting and inspection.

He made a similar trip to Italy, Greece, France and Spain - from August 15-25 - in respect of Renaissance Cruises.

Mr. Allen also travelled to the St. Lucia Tourism Conference, for three days in December, 2000, where he gave the keynote address.

His filing was made in late December last year.

Mr. Marshall became a director of Marvell International Ltd., according to his latest filing.

Marvell International is an exempted company in the business of manufacturing and production of broadband system solutions for Internet connectivity and infrastructure.

Mr. Marshall reported, in his October 2001 filing, that Marvell's local incorporation was in connection with "worldwide protection of technology copyright and patents".

Under new House rules which came into effect last year, Members of Parliament are required to declare their interests in the Register.

El James, a backbencher of the ruling Progressive Labour Party, is the only MP not to have complied with the requirement.
