Police have arrested a man in connection with drugs taken from King Edward VII Memorial Hospital pharmacy. understands the missing drugs were painkillers.

On Monday the hospital said they had suspended a pharmacist after drugs were stolen the previous Wednesday.

Yesterday a Police spokesman said: ?A man has been arrested in connection with a missing quantity of drugs from the pharmacy. He was arrested and released on Police bail.?

Both the Police and the hospital have refused to say which or how many drugs went missing, although one source said: ?It was not a small quantity?.
