Fittingly called "Youth Rule'', the Children and Teen Fashion and Entertainment Show is being put on by Brown Sugar Productions, with part proceeds going to the Sunshine League charity.

Deejay and commentary will be done by the youth while the fashion models, some 20 in total, including two young guest models, will range in age from seven to 17.

Amongst the entertainers will be singers Twanae Butterfield, 16, and 13-year-old Tonae Smith while Rickai Scott and Group will be the dancing group.

Marsheen Burch of Brown Sugar Productions revealed that she came close to bringing American teen rapper Little Bow Wow here to perform at the show but school work prevented him from coming.

"He would have been slammin','' she says of the talented youngster, knowing the response the rising star would have gotten from the youth here.

"I was so disappointed, but next year we look forward to having him. Bigger and better things will happen.'' Ms Burch sees the weekend show as an ideal outlet for Bermuda's talented youngsters.

"If we keep the youth enthused they will do better in school and in life,'' she believes.

"You have to stay with the youth and make sure that they keep their minds occupied. Showing their talent is one of the ways to do that. The youth are our future and we have to show them the way in a positive way.'' Ms Burch thanked sponsors Peopple's Pharmacy, Phoenix Stores, Caesar's Pharmacy, Global Realty and Travel Planners and the various stores who supplied the clothing. They are Smith's, AS Cooper, Pirates Port, Benetton, Family Affair, English Sports Shop, Scruff's Boutique, Sports Source in Warwick, Toys and Stuff and Mokah.

Admission is $15 for adults and half price for children under the age of seven. Refreshments will also be available.
