Kaream Tsun Gibbons, 23, of Rambling Lane, who appeared minutes earlier on a number of other offences, including unpaid fines and traffic tickets, admitted having 1.29 grams of canabis on his person on July 23 last year.

Crown counsel Cindy Clarke told the court how Police officers stopped Gibbons, who was the pillion passenger on a motorcycle as it travelled down Cedar Avenue.

She said the driver of the cycle ran away but Gibbons was arrested after Police saw him clutching a pouch with a "plant-like substance'' inside.

Mr. Francis fined him $300.
