A man charged with the premeditated murder of Shakeya DeRoza has made another appearance in Magistrates' Court.

Jermain Wellington Pearman, 36, of no fixed address, was brought to court on Wednesday to determine a date for a preliminary hearing into the case.

Pearman is accused of the murder of Ms DeRoza, the mother of two of his children. She collapsed and died in front of Rose's Flower Shop on Middle Road, Sandys, in July.

Pearman's lawyer, Elizabeth Christopher, requested a long form hearing, which is scheduled to begin on December 14.
