he was caught with 28 grams of cannabis.

Damon DeRoza, of Warwick, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared before Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis.

At the time, Sgt. Rex Osborne, prosecuting, said DeRoza was spotted by narcotics officers on January 20 at about 10 p.m. He said DeRoza was with a group of youths on Crawl Hill in Hamilton Parish.

A search of DeRoza produced a brown twist containing plant material which, when analysed, was found to be cannabis.

Sgt. Osborne said DeRoza committed the offence while on probation for another offence.

Yesterday, acting Senior Magistrate the Wor. John Judge ordered DeRoza to join the junior leaders programme. He also told him to reappear in court on September 11 for a review.
