Visitors and locals alike will be able to enjoy historical tours on board the Dockyard Train, a reenactment of the Attack on Washington in 1814 and a sunset party at the Snorkle Park.

A West End Development Corporation spokesman said the train ride would feature a uniformed guide and would operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from the Anchor Fountain outside the Clocktower Centre.

The half-hour train rides will cost $5 per person and will start running from 11 a.m.

The historical reenactment will be part of the Department of Tourism's Camp Bermuda promotion and will be geared towards families.

It will also start at the Anchor Fountain every Thursday at 11.30 a.m. at a costs $3 for children and $6 for adults.

Participants receive hats, "cannon balls'', admission to the Maritime Museum and the chance to take part in the "battle'' for Fort McHenry.

The Friday sunset party at the Snorkel Park will be another Tourism promotion with ferries leaving Hamilton at 6 and 7.15 p.m. and returning at 9.30 p.m.

The spokesman said five bands will perform for spectators who will pay $7.50 to participate.

The new attractions will run throughout the summer months.
