CBS star helping to sell Bermuda
Dockyard when he was filming the 1993/94 edition of the television magazine show Bermuda Channel.
Mr. McEwan, who is seen by millions of viewers in the United States from Monday to Friday on the CBS This Morning show, is anchoring the Bermuda Channel which is available to visitors at most of the Island's major hotels.
Bermuda Marketing Limited owns the channel which has a annual viewership of over 250,000.
The channel gives an hour-long briefing on how visitors can make the most of their vacations, including tips of shopping, sightseeing, dining and entertainment plus information about Bermuda's history.
Mr. McEwan, who can also be seen in Bermuda during the CBS This Morning show, was selected to anchor the channel because of his easy-going manner and his popularity with Americans. On CBS This Morning he reports the weather and is also the musical correspondent.
He is not the first international screen personality to star on the Bermuda Channel. Mr. Robin Leach, presenter of the hit programme, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, welcomed visitors to Bermuda in the 1992 edition.
