Chicago-based Aon Corporation, insurance and reinsurance company CNA Insurance Companies, also based in Chicago, and an investment affiliate of Lazard Freres & Co., Corporate Partners are providing minimum capitalisation of $200 million.

The partnership is seeking additional capital from international investors and anticipate market capital of about $500 million.

The new company expects to be housed in Cumberland House by the end of October.

Aon, which initiated LaSalle Re's incorporation, is expanding its Bermuda operations, according to Aon subsidiary, Rollins Hudig Hall (Bermuda), chairman Mr. Robin Spencer-Arscott.

Anchor Financial Consulting, a dormant company, has applied to change its name announced that its name will be changed to Aon Risk Consultants after approval by shareholders at a special general meeting.
