My kind of place

HARRY SMITH is the anchor of CBS This Morning, which airs weekdays on Channel 9 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. He is based in New York City where he lives with his wife, sports broadcaster Andrea Joyce, and their three-year-old son Jake. The couple have visited Bermuda with their son three times and plan to return.

"The last time we visited Bermuda in April last year we stayed at Horizons.

Another time we stayed at the Coral Beach Club. We love the Island. When we were there last year we went to this great little Italian restaurant on the South Shore - Tio Pepe. The food was great and the people were really nice to us. We also went to the Aquarium and Jake loved all the different kinds of birds there. But I guess if I had to pick one place it would be the terraces above the Coral Beach Club. Once you sit in one of those lounge chairs above the beach, it's almost impossible to leave. You're in paradise. You can get there from here in under two hours. It's a short flight and a great place to visit. With my work, I have no time. I'm up at 4.30 a.m. and I don't leave work until 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. sometimes later. And then when I come home I have lots of homework to do. I don't have a lot of time, so time is very precious to me. If I can get to paradise in less than two hours, I will.'' PICTURE: DAVID SKINNER HARRY SMITH.
