Fabian victim's widow thanks public
The widow of Police officer Stephen Symons, who perished on the Causeway during Hurricane Fabian, yesterday thanked the community for their concern.
"The hundreds of people both known and unknown have strengthened us," said broadcaster Sherri Simmons in a letter addressed to the Editor of The Royal Gazette.
"I can assure you that your words and prayers have been of great comfort particularly to my eight-year-old son Stephen Antoine Symons. Please know that your expressions of concern and caring will always be appreciated."
Police Constable Stephen Symons was one of four people killed when two vehicles were swept off the Causeway during the hurricane last month.
His was the only body recovered.
The other victims of the storm were Police officers Nicole O' Connor and Gladys Saunders and fisherman Manuel Pacheco.
