Grotto Bay Tennis and Beach Club General Manager JP Martens has been named Hotelier of the Year 2007 by the Bermuda Hotel Association.

John Harvey, chief executive of the association, made the announcement following a recent awards function. A Corporate Citizen Award went to BTC for what Mr. Harvey described as "more than 100 years of excellent service" to the hospitality industry.

Both awards were handed out by Premier and Minister of Tourism Ewart Brown, with BTC Chief Operating Officer Edgar Dill accepting on behalf of the company.
