It is understood that current tenant Mr. Raymond White and Henry VIII owner Mr. Andy Allan are among the bidders for the business.

Altogether seven bids were received by the Ministry of Works and Engineering after the concession was put out to open tender in February, according to a Ministry spokesman.

"It's a popular concession,'' he said. "We consider it important because Horseshoe Bay is the number one tourist destination on the Island. Guidelines about how the concession should be run vary according to the lease.'' The tenancy agreement gave Mr. White a five-year lease with an option for a further five-year extension.
