Disguised children will not be the only ones fooling people on Hallowe'en.

Four female impersonators, including Bermuda's Sybil Barrington, will put on a show "to remember'' at the New Clayhouse Inn two days before that ghostly night.

Sybil, formerly known as Mark Anderson, will be joined by a cast of "celebrity'' impersonators called The Illusions.

The Illusions -- who appeared in such films as "Party Girl'' and "To Wong Foo: Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar'' and will make their first appearance in Bermuda -- include Jade Elektra, Victoria Lace, and Harmonica Sunbeam.

Jade Elektra, or Alphonso King Jr., has been participating in talent shows since he was 16. He has impersonated celebrities such as Michael Jackson and the artist formerly known as Prince. But it was not until Jade moved to New York in 1992 that he was able to combine various others' talents and form the Illusions.

The group began performing at clubs around New York and Philadelphia. They later met actress Clarice Taylor, the mother of Bill Cosby on The Cosby Show, and have been opening for her at Copeland's Restaurant in Harlem.

The group is known for its dramatic, elegant and spirited renditions of classic numbers by Patti LaBelle, Ella Fitzgerald, Millie Jackson, Rue Paul, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Holiday, Shirley Bassey, Dinah Shore, Whitney Houston, and many others.

In addition to performing at many clubs, restaurants and cabarets in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. and appearing in two movies, Sybil has also been featured on US television programmes such as The Richard Bey Show, Entertainment Tonight, and The Brown Sugar Show.

He has also appeared at Paramount Theatre with Patti LaBelle who he impersonates.

Group member Victoria Lace, also known as Nathan Tate, who has imitated Gladys Knight, Donna Summer and Tina Turner has held the Miss Gay New York, USA title, as well as being voted New York's Entertainer of the Year, and Miss Gay Metropolitan, US.

He was also featured as an extra in the movie "Stonewall''.

And Harmonica Sunbeam, or Dorian Bryant, has been "one of the East Coast's upcoming stars'' since he made his debut at the First Choice Nightclub in New Jersey.

Tickets for the show at The New Clayhouse Inn will be $25 and available at Music Box on Reid Street and Sound Stage in the Washington Mall.
