Primary schooler found with drugs
a report that another primary school student was found with drugs.
A Prospect Primary teacher discovered "plant material'' on a 12-year-old student on Tuesday and contacted Police.
"This is the third such incident, in about as many weeks, where a school student has been found in possession of illegal drugs on school property,'' Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said.
"Needless to say this issue is of concern to both Police and education officials.'' Police are still investigating similar cases at Northlands Secondary and Heron Bay where a 14-year-old and an 11-year-old respectively were found with drugs.
Chief Education Officer Joseph Christopher, Insp. Archie Husbands, Sgt. Clarke Minors who heads up Police Community & Juvenile Services, and Parish constable Hashim Estwick are expected to be at today's meeting.
