Hot Peppers' soccer party
young teams gathered for an all-day extravaganza at BAA Field -- the Hamilton Parish Hot Peppers inaugural under-11 seven-a-side tournament.
Teams played on a round robin basis in two groups resulting in Somerset and PHC meeting in one semi-final and North Village and Boulevard in the other.
Both of those matches went to penalty shoot-outs with Somerset and Boulevard advancing to the final, which the West Enders won 2-0.
Organiser Hasan Shakir said he intended to make the tournament an annual event and would be looking for more teams next year.
As Somerset received the champions' trophy, the following individual awards were also made: Most Valuable Player: Shane Hollis (Hamilton Parish.
Highest goalscorer: Tamari Tucker (North Village).
Best goalkeeper: Donovan Burgess (PHC).
Best midfielder: Korvon Tucker (PHC).
Best defender: Karl Wade (North Village).
