Three of the six winners at Saturday's KPMG/Bermuda Pacers Track Meet set new age group records.

Leading off, Charlene Grant ran five minutes 30.1 seconds to clip six seconds off Kimberly Fisher's record in the girls eight to ten1,500 metres. Kiara Baxter held off Kaitlyn Miller to take second place.

The second record to fall went to Dinae Lightbourn in the girls 11-12 age group. Lightbourn ran a blistering 5:07.3 to obliterate Flora Duffy's record of 5:29.2 set back in 2000.

Danlia Martin followed Lightbourn home with Shelby Hollis close behind in third.

The boys got into the record-breaking act when Kor-von Tucker became the first KPMG athlete to break the five minute mark for 1,500 metres.

Tucker, this year's overall champion finished in 4:54.6 seconds, nine seconds better than Coyatito Smith's record set in 2000.

Less than two seconds after Tucker, Kejaun Clarke became the second ever sub five minute athlete and Carlo Paynter just missed achieving the same feat in coming third.

Trey Simmons just failed to set a new record this year but he will probably get it eventually as he has two more years in the eight to ten boys age group.

His 5:11.0 seconds was good enough for another comfortable victory on Saturday with Dorian Armstrong second and another very promising eight-year-old, Winton Woodley in third.

Logan Alexander won the 13-15 boys race over 3,000 metres in 10:36.09 seconds followed by Sheldon McKenzie and Aaron Pedro Johnson.

Tierra Simmons struggled a little on Saturday but held on to beat Selina DeSilva into second place.

The 2002 KPMG Junior Race Series is now complete and final standings will be revealed soon.

The closing ceremonies, including trophy presentation and prize draws will be held at KPMG's offices on April 11.
