The Bermuda High School (BHS) has put in an application to the Department of Planning to extend its International Baccalaureate Centre.

BHS principal Roy Napier said that because of the popularity of the programme, the centre needs to grow from its current 3,800 square feet to 10,000 square feet.

?It will include eight new classrooms and four student common areas,? Mr. Napier said.

The school hopes the expanded centre would be ready for students in September, 2005.
