A 70-year-old Warwick woman was punched to the ground by a thief who broke into her home and stole her handbag as she watched TV. Police said the thief entered her the South Breeze Road home between 5.15 and 5.30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The victim tried to protect her belongings and grabbed the thief?s jacket. She was not badly hurt.

The bag contained money.
