A 22-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to his leg after another shooting in Pembroke.

Police said that around midnight last night (Friday) officers responded to reports of gunshots on Middle Terrace. A spokesman said: "A 22-year-old Pembroke man subsequently attended King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds to his leg.

"His injuries are not life threatening; as a result he was treated and released. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011 or the independent confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477."
