Three men brandishing firearms accosted a man outside his home today, Police said this afternoon.

Police were called to the incident on North Shore Road, in Hamilton Parish, near Winton Hill Lane at about 11am.

A spokesman said: “It appears that a 21-year-old Hamilton Parish man was accosted outside his residence by three unknown men brandishing what were believed to be firearms.

“The Hamilton Parish man managed to escape apparently uninjured and there was no evidence of a firearm being discharged. The surrounding area was thoroughly searched by Police for the assailants.”

The suspects are described as three men dressed in all black clothing between 5ft 8ins and 6ft tall.
