Commuters are being advised to avoid Trimmingham Road if possible due to a traffic accident.

A Police spokesman said the accident took place shortly after 5pm today just past the roundabout at the end of East Broadway.

"There is no word yet on how serious it is as it is unfolding," he said. "At the moment traffic is flowing, but we are advising people to avoid the area if they can."
