Police have confirmed that the body of a man washed up on the shoreline of Devonshire Bay last Tuesday morning is that of missing 49-year-old Raymond Howes.

The announcement followed a forensic examination on Mr Howes? body, and an investigation into the circumstances of his death is said to be ongoing.

Mr Howes, a tiler from Mary Victoria Road, Prospect, was last seen at the MarketPlace store on Church Street in Hamilton at 3 p.m. on Friday October 7.

His family is now planning a memorial service to celebrate his life, which will be held at Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Church, King Street, Hamilton, at 4pm tomorrow.
