Logic customers experience brief service disruptions

All Logic Communications DSL and long distance customers experienced a brief service disruption yesterday morning after a high speed circuit card re-set itself.

Logic Communications Chief Operating Officer Richard Kuziomko said the company had two brief service interruptions yesterday morning.

?The first occurred at 11.11 and lasted for five minutes,? said Mr. Kuziomko.

?The second was at 11.20 and lasted for four minutes. The cause of the interruptions was a high speed circuit card which re-set itself. As a result customers who have long distance and DSL service may have noticed service degradation for a brief period of time.?

Mr. Kuziomko said the Logic Network Operations Centre immediately responded and monitored the re-set to ensure that everything came back in a matter of minutes.

?This is a very highly unusual situation that Logic?s technicians have only seen one other time in several years.?

?Our follow up action is to run a complete set of diagnostics on the card to understand why this occurred and replace it if required.?

?Our Customer Service Centre and the Corporate Services group worked closely with our customers to inform them of what was going on.?

Mr. Kuziomko said Logic Communications received some complaints from customers but as the service disruption was only for short period, there wasn?t a large volume of calls.

He said the Logic?s Customer Service Centre and Corporate Services group were able to adequately respond.

?At Logic every incident that affects customers is taken seriously. We strive to maintain service as we understand how crucial access to the Internet is today for both corporate and residential customers.?
