Gas prices are heading north again with Government's latest changes announced yesterday.

Maximum prices at the pump have now been set at $5.57, $4.81 and $3.93 per gallon for gasoline, diesel and kerosene respectively. The new prices came into effect yesterday.

Thief raids shed at Pembroke property

A black Porter cable rutter and green and black Hitachi air compressor were stolen from a Friswell's Hill, Pembroke home on Wednesday.

The owner said that someone broke into his shed and stole the items. Anyone with information is asked to call Central CID at 295-0011.

Also on Friswell's Hill a neighbour saw a light go out at his neighbour's house around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, but he knew his neighbour was away. He yelled to the person that he was going to call the Police, and then a man jumped out of the window and escaped.

Burglar takes jewellery and cash

A burglar ransacked a Crossland, Pembroke home after breaking in on Thursday. The thief escaped with cash and jewellery including an elephant pendant, three gold chains, a gold nugget pendant with the word ‘Aries' written on the back and a gold scorpion sign pendant.
