Bermuda's entertainment website BermyNET.com is expected to reach five million hits today.

Site owner Brenton Richardson told The Royal Gazette that the site's counter read 4,996,000 earlier this week.

"We anticipate that by (today) we would have reached our milestone of five million," he said.

BermyNET.com is now in its seventh year of operation. It was Bermuda's first online entertainment website.

"The site offers photos from all types of events around the Island including parties, concerts, private events, sports and much more," said Mr. Richardson. "Also available are event and movie listings, streaming music, articles and polls."

He added that reaching five million site visits clearly shows that Bermudians, here and overseas, continue to enjoy visiting the site everyday. "None of which would be possible without the dedication of our many freelance photographers," he said. "As for what's next you'll have to wait and see."
