Police continue to search for the escaped prisoner David Burrows, five days after the convicted sex offender escaped from custody.

Police have a team of four officers and two Prison officers who have been searching the areas which Burrows frequently visited.

Police are still appealing to the public for any information about the whereabouts of Burrows and would again like to remind the public that anyone who helps a fugitive will be punished.

Burrows is described as being 5'10", between 140-150 pounds with his hair in twists on top and shaved in the back.
