Police are once again warning members of the public not to harbour fugitive David Burrows.

The convicted sex offender escaped lawful custody and has been missing since June 9.

Last night Police spokesman Dwayne Caines said there had been several reported sightings.

"We are still actively pursuing Mr. Burrows," Mr. Caines said. "Mr. Burrows cannot stay on the run from the law without the assistance of members of the public. We would like to remind the public that aiding and abetting a criminal is an offence and is punishable under the law with a fine or a prison sentence.

And police will be actively seeking those who are aiding or have aided Mr. Burrows."

Sightings have been reported as far west as the White Hill area and in the Euclid Avenue area in Pembroke on Wednesday.

It is also being reported that Burrows has been sending messages to his children on the radio.

Burrows is described as 21-years-old, around five foot,10 inches, between 140-145 pounds, with brown complexion and twists in his hair.

He was wearing blue shorts, blue sneakers, red socks and no shirt when he escaped from two officers while being treated at The Arches clinic in Paget on on June 9 at 10.15 a.m.

Burrows was jailed for six years in May for having sex with a 13-year-old girl - his second conviction for seducing an under age girl in a year.

Last July, Burrows was jailed for two and a half years for having sex with a girl under 14, but while out on bail for that offence, he fathered twins by a 15-year-old girl.
