Shannon Nusum, 20, was killed when his motorcycle collided with a truck on North Shore Road in March 2007.

The last thing Shannon's mother Frieda said to him as he left home was to drive slowly. Twenty minutes later, she heard emergency vehicles rushing past her house on their way to try in vain to save her son.

Miss Looby said: "I went to the hospital to see him in the ICU. It hurts to see him like that. Shannon was always the joker, always had something crazy to say. To see him like that ... it was really hard to see his mom."
