Sonesta International Hotels will end its 40-year relationship with Bermuda in June.

Deborah Roker, corporate communications director, confirmed yesterday that the hotel owner had decided to sign a management contract with Wyndham Hotels.

"Sonesta is quite sad to be leaving Bermuda. We're going to miss our working relationships, working with Government as well as the wonderful people of Bermuda," she said.

"We have been there for over 40 years and it is pretty sad to be leaving the Island but we are very proud of our contributions to Bermuda and we wish owner Cliff Schorer the best and the new management company the best and the greatest success."

Boston-based businessman Clifford Schorer bought the property last year from Aetna Life Insurance.
