Mr. Frederico remains as non-executive chairman of ACE INA Holdings, Inc., the largest single subsidiary of ACE Limited.

Mr. Frederico joined ACE as an executive vice president in the financial lines (which is now tailored risk solutions) division in 1995.

In December 1996, he was appointed executive vice president, underwriting, and in July 1997 was made responsible for ACE's Bermuda-based insurance operations as president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Frederico holds an MBA in finance from Drexel University and a certified public accountant's designation in the State of Pennsylvania.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
