Unemployment in Bermuda stood at 4.5 percent last year, according to statistics released by Government this morning.

The Labour Market Indicators report showed that in 2000, unemployment stood at three percent, in 2004 it was 2.1 percent and last year it was 4.5 percent.

Among other findings, it shows that for men there were 20,614 total filled positions in 2009 compared with 21,027 in 2008. For women the number was 18,906 last year, compared to 19,186 in 2008.
