Constituency: 5 – Hamilton EastCell: 246-6061David J. Sullivan is a Bermudian born on September 19, 1953. He received his elementary and secondary education in the United States. In 1971 he attended the Bermuda College, Department of Hotel Technology. He completed his studies in hotel management and was employed in the local industry until August of 1975. During this time he also served as an instructor at the College. In addition to being a graduate of the Bermuda College he has an A.A. from the University of Maryland and an AIM from the Insurance Institute of America. In November of 2002 he was appointed a Justice of the Peace.

Mr. Sullivan is currently the President and owner of Sun Control Limited., a Bermuda based company

Mr. Sullivan has been active in organizational and community affairs in Bermuda with one of the highlights having been elected a Vice President with Junior Chamber International (JCI) in 1981. He served on the international Board of Directors of the organization with responsibility for the countries of English speaking Africa. He was awarded life membership and the designation of JCI Senator within that organization in 1981. Additionally, Mr. Sullivan has been involved with the Rotary Organization for the past seventeen years. He has served as President of Sandys Rotary during 1998-99. Amongst the many activities accomplished during his time with Rotary he is most proud of his chairmanship of the Circus that raised over $100,000 for Bermuda’s charities. He was elected as District Governor of Rotary International and was responsible for District 7230 covering Manhattan, Staten Island, the Bronx, Westchester County, New York & Bermuda.

He has served with the Bermuda Biological Station for Research. Mr. Sullivan has been married to Janice for the past 33 years and they have three daughters Kelly, Claire Percy and Maureen, as well as two grandchildren.
