Thomas stages mosaic show

over the years will all be included when Ruth Thomas presents another of her Mosaic programmes this coming Sunday.

This time, it will be Mosaic IV and Miss Thomas will lead a group of actors, singers and dancers in the hour-long performance at St. Paul AME Church in Hamilton.

"Usually, each Mosaic programme concentrates on a particular parish, but this time it will have a wider geographical appeal,'' says Miss Thomas. "St.

Paul's has often been referred to as `the black cathedral of Bermuda', so this performance will embrace people and characters from all over the Island.'' Miss Thomas says the objective is to remind people about some of their history and to motivate them to do some research about themselves. "The programme will only last between one and one half hours, so it's only a minuscule view.

We touch on the days of slavery, free blacks and up to contemporary times.'' Appearing with Ruth Thomas will be Leo Mills, Gary Phillips, Grace Rawlins, R.McDonald White, Beverley Cunningham and Danjou Anderson.

Dancers Roseanne Augustus and Erin Field from the National Dance Theatre of Bermuda will perform a liturgical dance as Ruth Thomas sings the spiritual, Give Me Jesus.

Mosaic IV will take place at the church on Sunday, February 28 at 6 p.m.
