Students prepare for exams
Students at all primary, middle and senior schools in Bermuda will embark on TN/ BEAP/BMAP and Terra Nova exams this month at various locations around the Island.
The Terra Nova exams are an international standard which the Ministry of Education uses as a benchmark to ensure Bermuda is keeping up with the rest of the world.
While the BEAP and BMAP exams are pegged to the local curriculum, and so are used to determine student mastery of concepts taught locally. The TN exam is an international exam which actually shows how children of a particular age and grade levels fare in comparison with children of the same age and grade level form other jurisdictions.
Last years? exams were not written due to a two-week industrial action taken by teachers in the Island?s public school system in May.
