Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said Rosa's Cantina staff told Police that the incident took place shortly after midnight yesterday.

Two men reportedly entered the restaurant just before closing and ordered takeout but then decided to eat at the restaurant.

About a half hour later when the restaurant was closing and the men had left the staff noticed that the toy singing Christmas tree was missing from the entrance area.

Mrs. James Barnett said the novelty tree, called the "Douglas Fir'', had just been purchased.

Police are looking for a medium-brown, clean shaven, stocky man around 30-years-old who was wearing a black t-shirt and black pants.

Mrs. James Barnett said Police were also looking for culprit who stole a stereo unit from a car parked on Friswell's Hill in Pembroke.

The car was parked in the owner's yard between 11.30 p.m. on Saturday night and 9 a.m. on Sunday morning when the owner noticed his Audio Fox stereo and equaliser were missing.

And a thief made off with $100 cash after removing a handbag from the bedroom of a Glen Court, Warwick residence early on Friday morning.

The culprit deposited the bag, less the cash, on the kitchen floor before making good his escape.

THIEVES TARGET CHAPEL CRM Thieves target chapel Heartless thieves broke into the Cobbs Hill Gospel Chapel in Warwick at the weekend and got away with hundreds of dollars worth of electrical goods.

The burglary is thought to have happened between Friday night and Saturday morning.

A television set and video recorder, PA system, microphone and amplifier were all taken in the raid.

The pastor's study had been searched and a tool box and five boxes of clothing and canned foods were also taken.

Police believe the burglars must have used a car to make their getaway.

Three gold rings, two of which were encrusted with a diamond and a ruby, two gold chains and a gold plated bracelet along with a quantity of cash were stolen in the raid.

The students will arrive at the Windsor Place around 11 a.m. to entertain the Seniors, who will be enjoying light refreshments, with a medley of Christmas tunes including "Jingle Bells'' and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas''.
