Fire damages shed at Belco
Police attended the scene of a fire on the weekend at a South Terrace, Pembroke residence.
Officers showed up at the scene around 7.40 p.m. on Saturday and found that firefighters from the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service already had the blaze under control. Police said the fire did not appear to be suspicious and inquiries are underway.
And, around 10.10 p.m. on Friday, Police also received a report of a fire at the Belco facility, on Cemetery Road, in Pembroke.
Upon their arrival, three appliances and 15 firemen were battling the blaze which was contained to a maintenance shed on the premises. As a result, the fire was quickly brought under control without any damage to other buildings on the property.
Police say there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. An investigation is underway.
