Last call for free CADA bartender training session

CADA will be hosting its last free training session next week in a bid to help bartenders spot the signs of intoxication early.

The drug abuse prevention organisation say there are still dozens of spaces available for their Training for Intervention Procedures session (TIPS).

After the free session CADA will be charging $50 for its training in February and May of next year. All licensed establishments must have a TIPS-certified manager on duty at all times according to law.

Chairman Anthony Santucci said: "CADA is pleased to inform the public that there are still 50 spaces available at the next TIPS training sessions which will be held during the week of November 15. We are encouraging any managers, supervisors or persons who are regularly in charge of licensed establishments and who have not yet received TIPS certification to contact our offices to sign up."
