"The mobile service was formed exclusively for ladies requiring the services of a private beauty therapist in the comfort and privacy of their own homes,'' said senior managing therapist, Angela Wright. "The service is designed to suit the beauty needs of ladies' islandwide at their convenience, without them having to fight through traffic, shuffle parking spaces, find babysitters, or otherwise alter their busy schedules to conform with regular beauty salon hours.'' Ladyfayre is equipped with the very best in European professional beauty therapy equipment, including facial/body machines, electrolysis, and portable reclining couches.

"In 1994, Ladyfayre became the Bermuda Agents for Decleor (Paris) products,'' she said. "These products differ to many others on the market in that they are strictly aromatherapy based. There are also eleven products within the range which are 100 percent aromatherapy oils, designed to penetrate and promote, not only great skin, but a feeling of well-being and the stimulation of a natural therapeutic process from within the body.'' Having received Decleor training both in London and Paris, Mrs. Wright is now the designated trainer for all salons in Bermuda using the product. She also regularly travels to Paris to discuss new products and treatments, and has visited the Decleor laboratories to learn more about how the products are blended and stored.

"The difference seen in many skin types is absolutely amazing,'' she added.

"Even for acne-prone skin types the difference is incredible, because we are using essential oils. Aromotherapy oils promise three times the level of hydration than if you just use your normal cream and anti-wrinkle treatments.

An aromatherapy oil used before your normal cream promises 30 percent more firmness, 48 percent more elasticity and a 24 percent reduction of wrinkles.'' Decleor does all aromatherapy body treatments and mud wraps, treating the inner body and the skin as well. The company offers electrolysis, waxing, massages, facials, on-the-day wedding makeups, basically any treatment available in a salon.

"A lot of people have the impression that because we are a mobile unit, we're treating people on the floor but we take everything with us. We're like a salon, only in your own home "It works well for older people who can't get out to a salon, or mothers of young children. So it's good when the child is having a nap, that we can stop by and accommodate their needs. We do hospital visits as well and we actually offer gift certificates.'' Mrs. Wright said they offer full mornings with a variation of treatments, which are especially helpful to those persons suffering from stress.

"People are realising that stress is taking over our lives. More women have careers today. Treatments give you a feeling of well being, and also make you feel good about yourself and positive about yourself. Also the workday is getting a lot longer for a lot of businessmen, so they get home later. For a housewife, if her husband doesn't get in until seven or eight that means she has extended time with the children. Having something like this even once a month makes you feel good and positive about yourself. You become positive about life and day to day things as well.'' Although Decleor is sold in local stores, for clients who prefer, Ladyfayre will deliver any wanted product, or gift voucher straight to their door on the same day if necessary. Newsletters are sent, informing customers of new products, new training and any monthly specials, such as free makeovers on Mother's Day. And when clients have bought a certain amount of products, they receive free gifts in the form of facials, massages etc., from Ladyfayre.

"We also have interesting treatments such as pregnant facials which involve leg, stomach and bust massages; all those areas which are susceptible to stretch marks and heaviness. And we have anti-aging seaweed face masks and fruit acid facials that help those persons who have had problems with acne, and lift scarring or any pigmentation marks on the skin. We also have a series of facials, generally six, which help sun-damaged skin.'' Ladyfayre also provides services to select hotels and cottage colonies.
