Young members of the United Bermuda Party will be 'taking it to the next level' tomorrow (Friday).

This year's Kite Festival celebrates 25 years for the party's youth wing. There will be competitions and prize giveaways, music from Gemstarr and Lady Tyson, plus liturgical dance and gospel singing groups.

Young United's Gina Spence-Farmer said: "Young United has done a great job of organising this year's event and has included a variety of youth and community groups to showcase local talent.

"One of the highlights of the day will be former Bermuda Idol winner Lady Tyson. The Kite Festival promises a little something for everybody, from a performance by the Gombeys and music for the tourists, to our kite competition for those creative young, and not-so-young artists out there. We will also have lots of food and fun."

The festival is hosted by 'Power Girl' Patrina Paynter, of Power 95. It starts at 11 a.m. with prayers to give thanks for Easter. Other performances will include Wow for Jesus dance ministry, Capoeira Camera, TNC, Propa and Big Snipes.
