Hotel hosts teen workshop
Teenagers can discuss such problems at a workshop -- part of the two-day PRIDE conference at Marriott's Castle Harbour Hotel.
The teen workshop, which starts at 3 p.m., will be led by Mr. Gordon R.
Johnson, executive director of the Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
He will be helped by Ms Sharon Apopa, from the Women's Resource Centre.
Mr. Johnson said the highly acclaimed video "Lindsay's Story'' will be used to illustrate ways teenagers are pressurised into sex.
The video is part of the programme run by the sexual assault team of the Mississauga Hospital in Ontario.
Mr. Johnson, a graduate from Toronto University, said his council's aim was to educate Bermuda's young people about alcohol and drug abuse. He added a study of youngsters in America linked alcohol and drugs with assault.
