News has been received of the death of Mr. William John Lovell Squires on December 29, 2003 after a short illness. He was 82.

Mr Squires is survived by his five children, several grand- and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Josephine of Windsor, Ontario. His wife Phyllis passed away several years ago.

During the Second World War he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served until the end of the war.

Before moving to British Columbia in the 1950s, he and his wife managed the Everest Guest House located at Church Street, Hamilton.

A memorial service will be held today in British Columbia.
