Bermuda Commercial Bank, has become assistant manager of retail banking (loan department) at the Bank of Bermuda.
Mrs. Khaldun began her career in New York with the Marine Midland Bank as a financial analyst planner and as a management associate in its commercial bank training programme.
She was later appointed commercial banking officer and held that position until her return to Bermuda in 1987. Mrs. Khaldun joined Bermuda Commercial Bank and became senior manager of corporate banking until several weeks ago.
Like many other staff, Mrs. Khaldun lost her job after the bank all but cut out its retail banking operation.
*** The Bank of Bermuda has also announced other appointments. Mrs. Deborah Hodgdon has become assistant manager of information systems/VAX systems support.
Mrs. Hodgdon has extensive experience designing software for computer engineering in a VAX environment. Prior to joining the Bank of Bermuda, Mrs.
Hodgdon worked for Motorola/Codex as director, software environment.
*** Lawyer Mrs. Stephanie Maloney has been appointed personal trust legal officer.
Mrs. Maloney completed her articles with Sheridans firm of solicitors in London. Prior to joining the Bank of Bermuda, she was employed by N. M.
Rothschild and Sons as a trust solicitor, where she was responsible for creating and administering various trust and company structures for international clients.
*** Mrs. Soraya Chasty has been appointed advertising officer. Mrs. Chasty worked as assistant director of admission at her former college, Emmerson College, in Boston, where she recruited, interviewed and evaluated applications for prospective students.
From 1988 to 1990, she worked for Bermuda Broadcasting covering current events, political issues, social, business and legal matters. Immediately before joining the bank, Mrs. Chasty worked for Advertising Associates Compton as new business director/account manager.
*** American International Company has awarded its 1992/94 scholarship to Mr.
Andrew Dyer , who will study for an Associate Degree in occupational studies in property/liability insurance.
*** The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda has announced the following employment changes during May: Mr. Timothy Carr , from Pinehurst Management to being self-employed; Mr.
Gordon Fizzard , from Anfossi and Butterfield to International Advisory Services; Ms Michelle Gray , from Gray and Kempe to Bermuda Glass; Mr. Ivan Matishak , from Eastbrook to International Advisory Services; Ms Andrea Outerbridge , from Anfossi and Butterfield to Bermuda Hospitals Board; Mr.
Simon Scupham , from Kemper Management to CFM Insurance Managers; and Ms Aileen Towner , change of employer's name from Prescot Management to Monet Risk Services (Bermuda).
