The offender is described as a dark-skinned male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall.

He was wearing a dark cap, baggy knee-length shorts, and a black T-shirt.

DRUGS NEEDE TO EAS PAIN -- CLAIM CTS Drugs needed to ease pain -- claim An American visitor who claimed she brought cannabis into Bermuda to ease nausea associated with her lupus treatment was ordered to pay $300 yesterday.

Patricia Joy, 35, of New York, pleaded guilty to possessing 2.87 grams of cannabis.

Prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James said Joy was searched by Customs officers at the airport after arriving on the Island on October 15.

Sgt. James said Customs officers found the cannabis in a zip-lock bag concealed in her bra.

Duty counsel Mr. Juan Wolffe told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis Joy suffered from lupus and was undergoing treatment that made her nauseous. Mr.

Wolffe added that she took the marijuana to help ease her discomfort.

ASSAULT ON GIRLFRIEND DENIED CTS Assault on girlfriend denied A 20-year-old Hamilton Parish man yesterday denied assaulting his pregnant girlfriend.

Kawesi S. Wilson, of Winton Hill, was charged in Magistrates' Court with unlawfully assaulting his girlfriend and doing her bodily harm on September 2 in Southampton.

The woman was taken to hospital complaining of dizziness after she was kicked in the back, head and left thigh, Prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James said.

Wilson, a construction worker, will be tried on February 19 next year for the alleged offence.

MAN FACES BUGGERY CHARGES CTS Man faces buggery charges A 38-year-old Pembroke man was yesterday charged in Magistrates' Court with three counts of buggery.

The man was not required to enter a plea.

He was charged with having carnal knowledge of a male person "against the order of nature'', committing an act of gross indecency with another man, and committing an act of gross indecency between June and October, 1992, in Pembroke.

He will be tried in the Supreme Court for the matters and was granted bail in the sum of $1,000 with a like surety.

Voorais M. Trott, of Aurora Lane, pleaded guilty this week in Magistrates' Court.

Prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James said Police stopped a car in Paget in the early hours of September because it was being driven in an erratic manner. The officers said Trott's speech was slurred, he smelled of alcohol, and had difficulty getting out of the car.

Trott told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis: "I would like to apologise. I submit myself to the mercy of the court and would like to keep my truck licence so I can work.'' But Mr. Francis replied: "This offence is the greatest cause of fatalities on our roads. Anyone charged with this must come off the roads.''
