A 23-year-old Smith's Parish man is in a stable condition in the intensive care unit of the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after his cycle collided with a stationary truck on Thursday night.

A 23-year-old Smith's Parish man is in a stable condition in the intensive care unit of the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after his cycle collided with a stationary truck on Thursday night.
The victim was rushed to hospital where he received emergency surgery to stabilise his condition.
And an elderly female car driver was also taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with head injuries yesterday afternoon after a collision involving another car and a railing.
The accident occurred at around 3.50 p.m. near the Bull's Head Car Park.
It is understood that the woman was testing the car, which had recently been repaired, when she lost control of it and collided with another vehicle and then hit the railing.
