Police reported that at 2.20 p.m. on Saturday, at the junction of Angle and Princess Streets, the taxi driver was apparently involved in a dispute with a female passenger over a fare when two men became involved, one of who was brandishing a knife.

The driver told Police that he was beaten and deprived of cash and jewellry.

He sustained facial cuts and abrasions as a result.

Two men aged 29 and 30-years-old and a 34-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident. Enquiries are continuing.

Two female tourist were also robbed at knife point.

Police reported that at 4.30 p.m. on Saturday, the women were walking along Wilkinson Avenue when they were approached by two men.

The men grabbed a shoulder bag and pouch and escaped on foot. The victims were not physically injured. Enquiries are continuing.

A 13-year-old boy was also the victim of a robbery while waiting for his father outside of White's Supermarket on Middle road in Warwick.

Police reported that on Saturday at 9.15 p.m. the boy was approached by three men demanding money.

One of the assailants was wielding a knife and the victim handed over a small amount of cash. Enquiries are continuing.

TRUCK STOLEN CRM Truck stolen Police are investigating the theft of a White Subaru truck, registration number L1498. The truck was removed from a location on Front Street in Hamilton early Saturday morning.
