Motorcyclist arrested after crash with truck
Police attended a road accident where a truck and a motorcycle collided, leaving the rider with a broken leg.
The collision happened at 8 p.m. on Saturday on Harrington Sound Road, in Hamilton Parish, near the junction with Quarry Road.
A Police statement said the truck was travelling west on Harrington Sound Road and the motorcycle was travelling in the opposite direction when the vehicles hit.
The motorcycle rider, a 38-year-old Hamilton Parish man, was taken to hospital for treatment to his broken leg and was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
The truck driver, a 42-year-old Pembroke man, was not injured.
Police also attended a road traffic collision in Warwick after a car and motorcycle collided on Ord Road, near the Ord Road laundry.
It appears the car was travelling west on Ord Road and the motorcycle was travelling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided.
The motorcycle rider, a 34-year-old Warwick man, sustained facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. The driver of the car, a 23-year-old Devonshire man, was not injured.
In a third reported crash,a taxi and a bike collided in Warwick causing the rider to sustain facial and leg injuries.
Around 9.20 a.m. on Saturday, Police attended the accident, at the junction of Middle Road and Camp Hill, in Warwick.
It appears the taxi was leaving the parking lot of Island Cuisine and the motorcycle was travelling east on Middle Road when the vehicles collided.
The motorcycle rider, a 24-year-old Sandys man was taken to hospital for his injuries and the taxi driver, a 59-year-old Southampton man, was not injured.
